K9 Response
On Aug 1 I was requested to respond with two other K9 teams to assist the Searcy County Sheriffs office with a on-going search for two missing teenagers. They had been missing for 5 days from a residence just outside of Marshall AR. and were suspected of being in the area and possibly injured. We responded with two tracking teams and our Area Search team. We were asisted by the ESAR team from Little Rock. Our K9 teams where tasked with clearing wilderness areas around the residence. After we did coordinated searches of that area it was given an "All Clear" and then we were sent to search specific areas by a nearby river and campsites. We also cleared those areas and informed the on-scene incident commander of the negitive find. Due to our report the active ground and air search was suspended. The next day the two missing persons where discovered at some relatives home and all SAR missions were terminated. Our K9 units were praised for the professional response and abilities by the Searcy County Sheriffs office, local SAR team members.
Great job!
