As a result of a horrible tragedy that occurred last night, involving El Dorado Police Officer Scott Harwell, we have opened up an account at First Financial Bank of El Dorado to raise money to help Scott and his family during his time of recovery. Officer Harwell was investigating a traffic accident on North West Avenue when a vehicle struck him. Harwell received severe injuries when he was hit. I feel it is very important that we do all we can to help this fellow law enforcement officer and public servant through this difficult time. Our prayers go out to Scott and his family. Donations can be dropped off at the Union County Sheriff's Office, El Dorado Police Department or deposited directly into the Scott Harwell Recovery Fund that has been set up at First Financial Bank in El Dorado, that account number is 041601253309.
