Scanner Frequencies
SecretAgentMan
I would like to know if you are allowed to post scanncer frequencies on here. Thanx.

Ken Jones
Sure do you have one to post or do you need one?

SecretAgentMan
I'd like to have the current Union County frequencies......I know you may not have any idea about these but the other ones I want are the Junction City frequencies and Union Parish.

Ken Jones
I don't have them in front of me but I will post them in the morning. Union Parish operates on a UHF band like 450 and we operate on a VHF 150 range. J.C. police operate on our Freq.

We'll get them for you and please check back.

Thanks,
Ken

AWIN is a multi-phased approach to building the infrastructure for a statewide interoperable radio system. The AWIN project supports the state Homeland Security Strategy, which lists Interoperable Communications as the top current issue. Leadership of the AWIN project involves key personnel from state agencies and the local first responder community.

Awin Frequencies as of 02/2/06. Sites numbers that are confirmed have an (*) next to the site name.
http://www.unionc...s/awin.php

UNITS TRAVELING INTO THE CENTRAL ARKANSAS AREA

One of the great benefits of the AWIN system is the ability to communicate outside a normal assignment area. Unfortunately, an excess of radio traffic in Central Arkansas could create busy signals for daily users.

Many public-safety personnel travel to Central Arkansas on a regular basis, and agencies who are assigned to Central Arkansas depend on the system for day-to-day operations. As a result, a large amount of system resources could be needed at the same time.

The AWIN system registers a radio on a tower with the best signal. As a user travels, the system transfers the radio to the next best tower. If a user monitors local radio traffic while traveling, the transmission travels from the point of transmission to the tower the communication is registered on at the time. One of the available radio channels (typically four are available) at that tower site is used to hear the transmission. When receiving a radio transmission from a local area, the system uses one of the voice channels just as transmitting back to the local area would. This will not typically be a problem for most areas of the state. To reduce the chances of users receiving a "busy" signal, AWIN program management needs your assistance.

Any unit not assigned to Central Arkansas (Pulaski, Lonoke, Saline and Faulkner counties) should NOT monitor their local channels when in Central Arkansas. It is recommended that any unit not assigned to Central Arkansas should monitor Law Com A or MAC Call. MAC Call would be the most ideal, since not all dispatch centers have Law Com A. If contact with a local dispatch or personnel is needed, users should switch to that channel, communicate and then return to one of the "monitor" channels.

Your cooperation will help assure efficient system operation for all users, and will minimize disruptions in communication for those who are dependent on the system for day-to-day operations.

Anyone have any updates for ANY frequencies for South Arkansas or Louisiana?

I'm working on a database and would love any submissions you have.

Also, does anyone have a list of the signals used by Union Co SO and/or the 10 codes and signals of any other agency in Arkansas. Any of this type info you could give me would be GREAT!

Thanks!

Pimpala03. The frequencies you see above are fairly new and should still work for the South Arkansas, North Louisiana regions. If you just need more you should visit some place that sells these "scanner" style radios - they usually have an indepth listing as all these frequencies have to be appointed to the user by the government. If you look around you can probably find a database of these numbers.
Also, you can find our ten codes under the downloads section of our website and our Radio Call numbers by following the link in the upper right hand corner.
Good Luck.
