B. Allen Hancock
B. Allen Hancock was born near the old town of Marysville on April 6,1872. He grew up a farmer and farmed throughout his life. At 22 he went to Texas and worked as a cowboy on a large Ranch, before returning to Union County. Hancock became City Marshal of El Dorado from 1912 to 1915 and in 1920 was elected Sheriff, serving from 1921 - 1925.
Hancock was married December 23,1904 to Mary Lee McBride.
